In this Gibson TV exclusive supercut, legendary players such as Mike Campbell, Kirk Hammett, Peter Frampton, Slash, and Joe Bonamassa chat with Mark Agnesi to share the stories behind their prized vintage Bursts. All of which have been used by the guitarists on stage and in the studio, and all of which have some incredible stories associated with them.

Watch Mike Campbell kick things off with his 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, a true “holy grail” guitar that became a core part of his sound during Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers’ later recordings, including the Mojo album.

Kirk Hammett brings out his 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard, which, like his legendary Burst, "Greeny," is another guitar once owned by Gary Moore.

Peter Frampton showcases his 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard, discussing the feel of the slimmer neck profile and how instruments like this influenced the development of his signature Phenix Gibson Les Paul model.

Slash brings out one of his go-to 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard, a guitar that you’ve definitely heard if you’re a Slash fan.

Joe Bonamassa closes out the collection with his 1959 Gibson Les Paul “Lorelei,” previously owned by Jefferson Starship’s Craig Chaquico. A guitar with an incredible rock ‘n’ roll history, a unique finish fade, zebra and classic double white pickups, and a very cool story.
