Join Gibson TV host Mark Agnesi as he takes us through another incredible supercut from The Collection—this time, celebrating the favorite Gibson acoustic guitars owned by some of your favorite guitarists.

Watch as Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke kicks things off with a deep dive into his black 1963 Gibson J-180 Everly Brothers acoustic—complete with star inlays and double pickguards. Slash shares the story of his first real acoustic, a 1970s Epiphone™, given to him by a family he once babysat for. Rick Nielsen brings out his J-160E John Lennon Peace reissue, while Peter Frampton shows off his 1964 Epiphone FT-79 Texan, used to write “Show Me the Way” and “Baby, I Love Your Way.”

Brian Ray of Paul McCartney’s band highlights the wide nut on his beautifully worn 1963 Gibson Dove™, while Joe Bonamassa introduces us to “Walter,” his heavily modified 1953 Gibson J-200™ with some interesting customizations. Charlie Starr returns with a powerhouse 1941 Gibson L-00 that Mark actually sold him, and Jason Isbell shares how his 1946 J-45™ became his go-to for songwriting and recording.

Mike Campbell discusses his booming 1956 Gibson J-200, with its figured maple back and massive tone. Cesar Gueikian recalls the emotional story of receiving a 1963 Hummingbird™ from close friend Jason Momoa—his first Gibson, gifted with deep meaning and history. Dweezil Zappa shows off his father Frank Zappa’s electrified 1960 Gibson J-160E, complete with its P-90 pickup and unique wiring. And finally, Kirk Hammett brings us full circle with another 1964 J-180 Everly Brothers, reflecting on what makes Gibson acoustics so special to him.
