Brad Whitford of Aerosmith shares the story of his 1968 Gibson Les Paul™ Goldtop. A guitar that replaced his first original Les Paul from the band’s early days. Watch as Brad talks about the natural checking and how the cold Boston weather once shattered a finish in real-time.

Joe Bonamassa showcases his 1963 Gibson SG™ Special in Polaris White, one of his favorite SGs. “These are just great, man; great power, rhythm solo guitars… this is how you P-90.”

Kirk Hammett of Metallica brings us his unique 1960 Gibson Les Paul TV Special. Drawn to it by a mysterious “Tosh” label—possibly linked to reggae legend Peter Tosh—he muses, “I love Bob Marley… Bunny Wailer… I’m a huge reggae fan… this one is pretty special.”

Charlie Starr of Blackberry Smoke introduces us to his workhorse: a 1955 Gibson Les Paul Junior with stainless steel frets. “This one also goes on every tour… probably my favorite tones on the new record I got with this guitar.” From bridge angles to vintage mods, Charlie shares why this Junior has become his go-to.

Jason Isbell wraps up the session with a studio favorite: his 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop with a Bigsby® installed by Larry Craig. “When I want something that sounds like it is impossible to completely control… this neck P-90 I love because it is so Stratty.” He walks us through the beauty of unpredictability, tone shaping, and how this greened-out Goldtop steals the show in the studio and on tour.
