Brian Ray of Paul McCartney's band shows off his Gibson Les Paul Juniors

First up, Brian reveals a pristine 1957 Gibson Les Paul TV Junior with serious screen credits: it was played by none other than Richie Cunningham on Happy Days. Originally found in a prop department at NBC, this single cut Les Paul Junior isn’t just a piece of TV nostalgia—it’s also one of Brian’s all-time favorite guitars thanks to its tone and neck feel.

If that wasn’t cool enough, Brian opens the case of his 1958 Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut, which he frequently uses on tour with Sir Paul McCartney, and explains why he takes vintage guitars out on the road with Paul: to compete with some of his own incredible vintage guitars like the “lefty Burst” Paul McCartney plays onstage.

From Happy Days to arena stages, these Gibson Les Paul Junior guitars aren’t just vintage instruments —they’re iconic chapters in a rock and roll story.
