If you’ve ever wondered which guitar Slash uses most when he’s recording an album or track in the studio, this is it! Watch as Slash shows Mark Agnesi his prized ’59 Burst - the guitar Slash calls on most when it’s time to lay down a track in the studio!

In this clip from The Collection with Slash, Mark Agnesi gets a close-up look at one of Slash’s most-used Gibson guitars – a 1959 Gibson Les Paul™ that has become his go-to recording guitar. Used on “Living the Dream,” as well as a powerful cover of “Rocket Man” by Slash featuring Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators, this Burst has become an essential piece of Slash’s studio guitar selection, which also makes regular appearances on sessions for other artists, too.

Acquired in the ’90s, possibly through legendary dealer Albert Molinaro, this is a guitar you have probably already heard on a Slash record without knowing it. Described by Slash as a guitar with a “very sincere” tone, you’ve definitely heard this 1959 Gibson Les Paul if you have any of the Slash ft. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators records.

He also shares the story behind naming two of his famous guitars, Big Pete and Little Pete, both of which have some of his favorite tones of any of his guitars.

If you like rare Gibson 1959 Les Paul Standard guitars and cool guitar stories from one of the most iconic guitarists, this clip from The Collection with Slash is for you!
