When you're collaborating with other musicians, it's important to remember to leave them space to create within the song.
That's especially true when you're collaborating with a singer. Because when you're recording your guitar parts, it's easy to get carried away. Before you know it, you've got an awesome instrumental track with a ton of great licks and harmonies...
But then there's no space for the singer. :(
Keep the singer in mind while you're writing your guitar parts. Create a "bed" for the singer, so they'll have room to use their voice in a creative and musical way.
By the way, here's the course I mention in the video: https://guitarzoom.com/product/metal-songwriting-workshop/
