Originally released on 17 January 2019, YUNGBLUD’s single “Loner” firmly cemented him as one of the great rising music stars, since then he has gone on to top the UK album charts with his second album, 2020’s “Weird!” and third album “YUNGBLUD” in 2022. In this exclusive performance for Gibson TV, YUNGBLUD plays an impassioned acoustic version of his single “Loner,” - a fan-favorite non-album track that his fans, new and old, love to see him and his band play live.

In the full Songbook performance, watch as YUNGBLUD discusses how he wrote “Loner” on an old, out-of-tune piano that used to belong to his grandmother while visiting his parents on Easter Sunday and describes how the audience reacted to the song when he first performed it in public the next day – now a firm live favorite in his setlist. He also recalls how, only a year before that, all the labels in the UK said, “Guitar music – Nah. Never going to work.” How wrong they were!
