Sheryl Crow – the full conversation – is here. In the 90s, a year after her favorite Tele was stolen from a tour van, a fan approached Sheryl after a show with a special gift – a 1959 Custom Telecaster. The guitar had been in his family for years and was nearly identical to the reissue she’d lost. It’s been her sidekick ever since.

To celebrate 75 years of the Telecaster, we sat down with Sheryl in Nashville to talk early influences, advice from Chrissie Hynde and why, after all these years, the Tele still sounds the way she wants her songs to feel.
