In this clip from The Collection with Cesar Guiekian, Richie Faulkner of Judas Priest brings back a special piece of Gibson history to its owner, Cesar—the 1971 Gibson Flying V Medallion–but this isn’t just any guitar. Built in ’71 and ’72, with only 350 ever made, this Flying V is a piece of history and a direct link to Richie’s predecessor, K.K. Downing’s legendary sound.

Eagle-eyed guitar fans will know that this guitar is just like the one K.K. Downing or Michael Schenker used to wield on stage, which is perfectly fitting considering Richie’s connection to Judas Priest and how much of a fan he is of Michael Schenker’s guitar work.
