In today's easy acoustic guitar lesson, we learn how to play "Purple Rain" by Prince and the Revolution. This song works beautifully in an open position on acoustic guitar, allowing the chords to shimmer with ease from the open strings. While a slow song may appear easy, getting a good rhythm and groove with a ballad is a challenging yet rewarding task which will carry over to your overall skill in terms of rhythm and strumming.
