In today's guitar lesson we learn how to play "Norwegian Wood" by the Beatles on guitar. This is a great lesson for any beginner looking to improve on an intermediate strumming technique. This involves playing a melody inside of a chord, as this song does throughout the D chord hook. Besides being a gorgeous guitar melody, this riff gives you a great opportunity to improve your pinky strength and technique as well. Then, we go over the melody on a slide, which can emulate the sound of the sitar due to it not relying on frets or 1/2 steps. Beyond that, this song is easy to learn and play from beginning to end.
