In this guitar lesson, Steve Stine visited Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne Indiana and created a video that focuses on development of "ear training" using guitar scales.

Often, we play scales but we forget to "listen" how to scale and the root of that scale are actually interacting...some notes sounds smooth, others a bit dissonant, some more colorful than others (and in the case of modes, some add the essential sounds of that particular mode "color").
