In this clip from The Scene, Gibson TV host Mark Agnesi explores GRAMMY® Award-winning producer Dave Cobb’s guitar collection inside the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville, Tennessee. Prepare to see some pretty cool guitars!

Watch as the GRAMMY® award-winning producer brings out some of the coolest vintage Gibson guitars, including vintage Gibson SG™ models, which he got when he was on tour with Chris Stapleton, a Gibson ES-330 guitar, and a newer addition to his collection in the form of a Gibson Custom Trini Lopez VOS.

From guitars picked up on the road while touring with Chris Stapleton to lifelong influences that shaped his taste, every instrument in Dave’s collection serves a purpose when he’s recording some of the biggest artists in the world. For him, it’s all about chasing tone and matching the right guitar with the right amp and pedals to recreate the sounds that inspired him growing up.

Dave explains how building an epic guitar collection like this lets him quickly access the sounds in his head, go down the rabbit hole of vintage guitar sounds, and match them with the guitars and amps he has.

Step inside RCA Studio A and discover how the right guitars help shape the sound of modern music we listen to every day.
