In this special supercut episode of The Scene, a Gibson TV Original Series, we’ve compiled some of the best moments, including stops at iconic guitar stores, music venues, and of course, Gibson Garages in London and Nashville, where host Mark Agnesi takes us behind the scenes.

We begin in London at the newly opened Gibson Garage UK, where Mark meets up with Justin and Dan Hawkins of The Darkness, drops in to take a look at Gibson Custom Murphy Lab guitars, the Made to Measure program, and Justin demonstrates how to “properly” hold a Gibson ES-335™.

Next, in New York City, we stop at Rudy’s Music, where Rudy Pensa shares a rare and historic Gibson Flying V™, then it’s off to Nashville, starting at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, where Mark is reunited with a guitar he once loaned to a member of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. We then visit the legendary RCA Studio A to catch up with record producer Dave Cobb to hear how the Nashville sound was born and shaped by generations of producers and players. At the Gibson Garage Nashville, Mark explores the Vault and looks at some of the rarest guitars and prototypes ever built. The journey continues at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop, where a hidden recording studio reveals deep ties to Elvis Presley and classic country.

Finally, in Los Angeles, Mark visits Norman’s Rare Guitars, where Norm Harris opens up his secret stash of vintage guitars that he was keeping to himself—a treasure trove of guitars rarely seen on camera, and drops some incredible stories of the guitars he’s sold.

In The Scene, a Gibson TV Original Series, host Mark Agnesi travels from city to city to discover the important music landmarks that help shape that city’s music scene. Stay tuned for more episodes.
