Hello friends,
and thanks for checking out my new single "The Real Thing." This time around, I was aiming to compose a song in the style of Tom Petty, using the Heartbreakers mantra "Don't bore us, get to the chorus." The Composition employs some of my favorite tricks including a 1.2.5.4.m4 progression, and rhythm similar to what you will hear in Neil Young's "Harvest Moon." The song featured an amazing group of musicians including Brandon Porter on Bass, Zak Lannitelli on Drums, and Adam Flicker on Hammond Organ. The song was recorded at Kawari Studios in Philadelphia, where it was engineered by Zach Goldstein, and produced by Mike Southerton. Thanks again for lending your ears. Be well. -Rob
