In 1975, we found a new forever home in Nashville, Tennessee. Some of the first Gibson models manufactured here were Les Paul Customs, which quickly made their way to the heavy metal pioneers and hard-rock icons of the era. The Gibson Les Paul Custom 70s winds back the clock and features classic era-correct specs like a headstock volute, a three-piece maple top bound in five-ply, and throwback 1970s finishes including Tobacco Burst, Wine Red, Ebony and Buttercream Top.

Watch the full video where you’ll hear from guitarists Kent Wells, Julian Raymond, Derek Wells, Sadler Vaden, Chris Leuzinger, J.D. Simo, Guthrie Trapp, and Dan Dugmore, as they each react to the Gibson Les Paul Custom 70s. From first impressions to personal memories, every guitarist brings a unique perspective on what makes this iconic model so special.
