In today's guitar lick of the week lesson, I'll demonstrate a very funky lick in the key of E. This is a phrase that will borrow notes from a variety of scales and positions including the major and minor pentatonics, and also the E mixolydian scale. I'll begin by breaking down these scales, before teaching this funky phrase section by section. Let's get started!
