In today's guitar lesson and edition of Guitar Wisdom Ep. 2 we look at my top 5 scales for a beginner or intermediate. After looking at the scale we then add expression with the goal of bringing these scales to life. For each scale I give a corresponding chord progression which can be used to practice the scale over. You can either create loop of these progressions or practice over my five backing tracks on the Patreon. After learning all five positions of a given scale, you can start combining shapes to eventually have one massive shape across the fretboard. Playing through these scales and chord progressions should provide you with a highway to melodic expression as well as joyous practicing and playing for years to come.
