Remember, the 4th will be with you, always. In today's guitar lesson we kick off a new series called Guitar Wisdom in which we put powerful concepts and techniques to direct practice and use. In the first edition, we learn how to use the 4th. The 4th is essential for navigating almost any song, riffs chord progression and of course the fretboard since the guitar is tuned mostly in 4ths, making it essential for moving across frets and strings. I talk about ear training and how to get started on recognizing the 4th interval right away. We end with some exercises to get you playing chords and riffs so you can use the 4th.
