In today's acoustic guitar lesson, we learn how to play "Althea" by Grateful Dead as well how to solo in a Jerry Garcia style. This song was performed hundreds of times live by Grateful Dead and served as an excellent jam and solo vehicle for Jerry Garcia's lyrical and beautiful lead style. We learn both a fingerstyle part for the entire song as well as some key phrases and concepts for playing this song up the neck and using the entire fretboard.
