This is the ninth video in the Rhythm Guitar Quick-Start Series. In this lesson you are going to learn some of the most essential strumming patterns that you need to know as a rhythm guitarist. These strumming patterns are the building blocks that you will use to play a lot of different patterns in the future.

Some of these patterns will likely seem simple to you, but it's important to be able to do simple things well. With that in mind, it's recommended that you take your time as you work through each of them. In the next lesson you'll learn how to develop your sense of timing and feel.
